Texas governor E.M. Pease originally granted the land now encompassing the Denia area of Denton County to Ezekiel Boon in 1857. The area now included in the Denia Area Community Group encompasses a great diversity of housing. It is a well-established neighborhood, with some homes built over 50 years ago. Our diversity offers starter cottages for young couples as well as spacious custom homes. The Denia Community has been designated a Special
Area Planning District by the City of Denton. This designation allows us
to preserve our unique features, address area needs and renovate ageing
facilities. We originally consisted of four independent groups that joined forces in 1994 to resist the rezoning of neighborhood land to commercial property. The Denia Area Community Group now concentrates on issues that improve our neighborhood, and the general City of Denton environment. We publish a monthly newsletter, which is supported by Denton's Parks & Recreation Dept., and is hand delivered to area residents. We also are willing to e-mail copies to anyone who so requests.
DACG meets at the Denia Recreation Center at 7:00 pm on the last Monday of
each month, excluding December. AboutMyHOA.com
