Welcome
to the Austin Oaks Homeowners Association Website. Accessible
from SH 114 and Park Avenue, we are conveniently located in the heart of
the Dallas/ Ft. Worth (DFW) metroplex. We are just 12 ½ miles from DFW
Airport, and approximately 20 miles from both Downtown areas. Major
shopping centers include Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club,Albertson’s, Tom Thumb,
Kohls, Costco, Best Buy Home Depot and Lowes. Numerous Restaurants are
within easy driving distance. Developed
in 1991, we are a 128 home community with lots ranging from 1/3 to 1/2
acres. Some lots are wooded and a creek runs through the middle of the
community. We
are a family oriented community and our children attend the highly
regarded Grapevine-Colleyville school system. A city park is in our
neighborhood with plenty of trees, a half-basketball court, a play area
for kids and a nature trail along the creek bed. Our
homeowners association was formed in 1993 with its main objective to
enforce deed restrictions and code of conduct. In 2000, the following
Mission statement was written: “It
is the mission of the Board of Directors to act as agents for the greater
good of our community. It is our responsibility to make decisions and
manage issues in a way that not only preserves, but also adds value, to
each homeowner’s real estate investment. Our position is one that
supports the maintenance of programs and policies that will make our
community the community of choice with in our market and price range. We
will focus on community attributes such as, but not limited to, the
attractive maintenance of common areas and individual properties, fair and
consistent enforcement of the community by laws, and the support and
development of programs and activities that convey a real sense of
community, that sets us apart from neighboring subdivisions”. We
like to foster a strong sense of community and we have a very active
social committee that organizes many association sponsored events
throughout the year. They include a Block Party, Easter Egg Hunt,
Halloween Parade, Tax Day Happy Hour and Neighborhood Garage Sale. Please
