A word from the AboutMyHOA.com Founder Thank you for visiting the Web Site established for Homeowners Associations and Neighborhoods. My effort originally was an attempt to help communicate with homeowners in our own neighborhood. The first neighborhood went on-line September 2000, and as of September 2005 there are over 550 web sites for neighborhoods in twenty-two Texas cities and more sites in cities across the United States. These sites are free to the Associations or neighborhood groups. AboutMyHOA.com offers sponsors (local small businesses) the opportunity to place advertisements on your neighborhood sites. Support of local business is very important, we encourage you to support your neighborhood sponsors as they primarily make it possible for us to provide the site with no fees. Our goal is to truly provide "An Internet Solution in your own Neighborhood." We have remained sensitive to privacy issues and have a stringent policy regarding access, however, the site is also interactive where ideas are shared. We believe in this manner we can help make your associations and neighborhoods be more effective, responsive and fun and most importantly user friendly. We are encouraging anyone desiring to get their neighborhood communications in place to contact us. You do not have to be part of any association. Our local neighborhood contacts range from stay at home moms to corporate executives, from elected association officers to residents that simply want to share in their neighborhood experience. These individuals are the link to our success for your neighborhood. The AboutMyHOA.com staff is here to help get you started, whether you are a computer expert or barely know where the on-off switch may be located, we are here to serve you! Our first year has been exciting and rewarding. You have been the heart of this endeavor. Special thanks to our early sponsors that took a chance on our idea and, especially the neighborhood activists that have made their sites so unique. Thanks for the great coverage from local bulletins, major newspapers and CBS news. We look forward to making our AboutMyHOA.com family larger, while still keeping our close relationship with you, our current neighborhoods. Sincerely, Jamie Thibodeaux
